Sunlit Geranium A La Impressionism
I love the first flowers of Spring. They always brighten my day. I hope this painting gives the impression of the warm breeze and bright sunlight I felt while painting it on my back porch.
I live in an area of South Carolina called the "Lowcountry", a coastal region bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Although I've traveled all over the world, I've lived most of my life among the colorful people and places of this beautiful, historic part of the American South.
K M Schneider completed studio art studies in painting and printmaking at the College of Charleston. Further studies included an apprenticeship in the studio of Willard Hirsch and the study of portrait art with Daniel E. Greene in New York. The artist served on the Board of Directors of Print Studio South in Charleston, SC. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America (PSA), Charleston Area Outdoor Painters Asso. (COPA), and an exhibiting member of the Charleston Artist Guild (CAG).
